The Belairs Kansas City Blues Band Booking 816-734-4558

Through the years, the Bel Airs have contributed their rock solid line to collaborations with numerous other artists on stage and in the studio, including Johnnie Johnson, harpist Mark Wenner of the legendary DC-based Nighthawks, southern California saxophonist Johnny Viau and French blues phenom Big Dez. Currently, the Bel Airs are touring with Brian Capps, the Domino Kings, and the Morells as part of the "Big Noise from Springfield".

Now based in Columbia, Missouri, the Bel Airs are easily one of the hardest working and most entertaining blues bands in the country. These veterans have delivered some of the hottest dates at legendary clubs, many of which the Bel Airs have outlasted, like JB Huttos and Roger Nabor's late great Grand Emporium, and they continue to win over audiences from Southern California to the DC Metro area and all parts in between. They are perennial favorites in the US and British Virgin Islands and recently began building a following in Europe with performances in France, Corsica, Belgium and the UK. Their musical approach and superbly crafted showmanship make for a more than memorable concert wherever they appear.

Cotton Candy and So Many Men Kansas City Blues Band booking 816-734-4558

Annetta Washington doesn't use her given name professionally, and most people have never heard it. Everyone follows the advice of her signature tune, "THEY CALL ME COTTON CANDY", and that they do.

Cotton Candy was a founding member and helped to organize the Kansas City Blues Society, and served as the original secretary during her three year tenure on the board. Today she still remains associated with the Society. She also has the distinction of being the first female blues artist to be inducted into the Elder Statesmen of Jazz. One can always find Cotton on stage somewhere doing what the blues are all about...living as well as performing them. "That's the true bedrock of the blues," Cotton says. "Living them."

Cotton comes from a religious and musical background. At age eight she was playing the piano for her minister/father's church, while her mother played piano in the local clubs. Her blues career began with she and two friends going to jam sessions in the Baghdad Club at 37th & Broadway in Kansas City. She would sing the two Dinah Washington songs that she knew weekend after weekend. Today she writes her own material by herself or in collaboration with her band.

Her present band, SO MANY MEN, is her third band. Cotton comments on the band, "You keep on working til you get what you want." .

Cotton Candy and So Many Men were recently honored by Mayor Emanuel Cleaver and the Kansas City City Council when they unanimously resolved and proclaimed April 14 as Annetta "Cotton Candy" Washington Day. This resolution becomes a permanent record in Kansas City music history.

Cotton Candy's CD, "THEY CALL ME COTTON CANDY" is already enjoying rave reviews across the country. To quote the Lare Bear, "Cotton Candy sings the blues with her whole heart, because she sees the blues in life."

NorthCutt Kansas City Country Band booking 816-734-4558

Northcutt is a fun havin', rockin' country band from Salina, Kansas. Mix a little Skynard & Alabama sound to pay respect to the South and throw in some wreckless abandonment with a style like Garth, and fresh originals that stay true to the heart and soul of what Country Music is all about and you have a little piece of what you get with Northcutt. True musician's have been replaced with American Idol's, but those who love music for what it's meant to be about will love this band!

The band is manned at the helm by Rob Northcutt who has become somewhat of a local hero in the midwest. When he's not fighting the blazing fires of the music industry he's fighting the real fires back home saving lives and being a true American in his job as a firefighter for the Salina Fire Department. Rob's resume of achievements and notable concerts is too detailed to list but a couple highlights of his music career involves fullfilling a dream of performing on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN and more recently being selected the 2003 Colgate Country Showdown Winner for the State of Kansas

But Rob will be the first to say that a lead singer is nothing without the team that surrounds him on stage. Mike Alley, Sean Herrington, Aaron Peck, and Mike Voelzke each have their own story in the music industry and all the members have put their years and experiences together to form a real treat for all ages of music lovers. The band has been together since 2003 and with a fivesome of seasoned veterans in this business, Northcutt has already put some miles on the old bus treads with shows all over the midwest. Keep checking back as this site will start growing with concert dates, photos, and of course, some Rockin' Country Music!

Chris Filer Kansas City Country Band booking 816-734-4558

Country music is an art form of stories… and country music artist Chris Filer has plenty to sing about. Raised in rural Missouri, Chris has always balanced the desire to work the land and to work the road. He started writing music in high school, fell in love with his wife of 15 years, Kelly, and eventually became co-owner of a regional seed company and 2000 acre farm in the beautiful Midwestern U.S.. Raising corn, growing soybeans, and long work days are part of everyday life for Chris. Of course, recording new songs in the studio he built at the back of a family barn and fishing with one of his three kids in the lake behind his house are also common place for Chris.

Chris Filer is passionate about life and that is reflected in his music. He has a natural ability to communicate with audiences and can't wait to get on the stage as soon as he gets off the tractor. Chris sings about how he feels, what he sees, and what he's learned from life experiences. So whether he and his band are bringing down the house at a local country hot-spot, doing an acoustic set at a big city coffee house, or entertaining the community at his families' regional country music theatre – Colonial Hall @ The FARM – one thing stays the same, Chris Filer is genuine, honest, and his music tells a story.

Standing in the circle of the Grand Ole Opry or among friends, he energizes an audience like no other. Country, Rock, Blues, or Western Swing, he brings his best every time he steps to the microphone. I was with Bryan at his Grand Ole Opry performance; live radio broadcast, small and large club appearances. Each time, the audience received the same incredible show. I've never seen anyone quite like him. I feel proud to have shared most of those stages with Bryan. He made me sound better than I was. Some performers have it, and some don't. He has it!

Marci Mitchell Kansas City Country Artist booking 816-734-4558

Marci's story about her love for country music is the same as that of any other country icon. She mentions Patsy Cline, Dolly, Willie Nelson and of course Merle Haggard. She began listening and loving country music in the basement of her Missouri home while her dad played old country tunes on his electric guitar. As she grew older, she began singing anywhere she could get a captive audience which led to many community performances, talent shows, square dance calling, and even singing to customers in her mom's beauty shop. Marci states that she has had a lot of valuable musical training through her school systems while growing up and owes a lot of her professionalism to her teachers and professors

Nashville is a long haul from the rural fields of Missouri, but that is exactly where this singer's dreams led her. When Marci Mitchell arrived in Nashville just a year ago, the dream of becoming a Country Icon was still a blur. Since then she has completed a new self-titled CD, started a regional tour, gained Turner Hat Co. as a sponsor and now has witnessed her song It's A Guy Thing reach the top ten on a new country chart. And although she's not quite a household name, in a short time she has made many contacts and is well on her way to making her dreams a reality.

Since then Shelly has performed at many televised Nascar races and has been touring around the country playing at mostly fairs, casinos, and nightclubs.  She has been the opening act for such artists as Sarah Evans, Dwight Yoakam, Blake Shelton, Lonestar, Trace Adkins, and has been the opening act for Michael Peterson throughout the previous year.  Following the footsteps of her idols like Reba and Alabama, she has been doing regular weekly gigs at such infamous Nashville clubs as Legends, The Second Fiddle, and The Stage.
Shelly takes pride in being able to collaborate with some of Nashville's most respected industry execs including Dick Frank who is a very well-known music attorney in Nashville as well as legendary producer Barry Backett.  More recently, Shelly has teamed up with well-known producer Clyde Brooks.  One of the tracks they cut, "Keep Messing With Me" has been played on 38 radio stations throughout her home state of Missouri.  This project has recently led to record label interest.  Shelly has also been offered her first publishing deal and is continuing to pursue her ultimate goal of obtaining a major recording contract.

Wholigans - The Who Tribute Band booking information 816-734-4558

The Wholigans capture not only the sound and essence of The Who but could easily pass for the original members of The Who. The band concentrates on the Live at Leeds era , but their set list contains a majority of the most popular material from The Who’s catalogue from day one until the untimely death of Keith Moon.
From the stage clothes to the authentic stagegear + capturing the mannerisms of The Who ,The Wholigans bring back memories of a Who of yesteryear which has to be seen to be believed. With the thrashing windmills of Pete Townshend to the mic swinging of Roger Daltrey and the incredible drumming style of Keith Moon combined with the thunderfingers of John Entwistle. The Wholigans seem to have captured the total package that is The Who.
Things just seem to be getting bigger for the band and they plan to continue playing The Who’s music as long as there are fans out there who are willing to come see them.
